very emotional, I could certainly feel the aroha, and passion flowing around. titling this piece the delicious history first made me to reread the poem to get the essence of delicious history and now I can sense how delicious that history can be. a great piece and best luck.

Lovely, Lydia! Tres charmante. I join my good friend Emma in saying how I'm enjoying your seeming effortless mix of French in your poetry. Are you a native French speaker? It seems so natural. Just lovely. And the whole concept of the poem, "delicious history", is wonderful.

However, I was born in the USA so English is really my language. My family spoke four languages.....I picked up a lot of French growing up, but then took it in high school and college too. Merci beaucoup, mon ami....I so appreciate your kind review. Lydi**

Both languages were spoken around the house, but not to me or my brother. This was just after WW II and my parents didn't think it was a good idea for a little blond-haired boy to be speaking German at that time. My father was especially sensitized to this since he had just spent 2 years in prison camp in South Dakota with about 10,000 other German nationals and had to go deeply into debt to avoid being deported to Germany. On the French side, I too took French in high school. It's charming to hear it again in your poetry. Rick

Lydi, a lady just can't go wrong when she combines a touch of this and that with a wrapping of French words.. tis the stirring of a lethal and erotic cocktail. Charming and warm .. just perfect for the fast-dulling end of my day. ' .. from now ~ the rest would be ** delicious history** - mais, oui!
Ohh-la-la! Lovely and delicious poem here, Lydi. That look they get... oh yes. When you know, you just know. My husband and I saw each other across a crowded grocery store. Sparks flew and we knew. I like the exotic touch with the language. We only speak 'duh' in these parts! Ha! Angi~
Now I know that is not true....I have read your poetry and it is far from "duh!" Thank you very muc.. read moreNow I know that is not true....I have read your poetry and it is far from "duh!" Thank you very much for your review, Angi. Lydi**
