I
hopped on a rainbow today
diamond dust flowed from the sky
for my viewing pleasure
Soft as a lover’s whisper
moist air kissed my cheek
I drank in the multi-colored universe overwhelmed
becoming one with those
who had journeyed here before me
and those who would travel here in the future
the scent of eternity intoxicated me
And even now
threads of starlight weave themselves
through the blinds
and a blanket of good thoughts covers me
Tommorow is the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur. Today I reflect on my life up until now. I drink in all that has happened in the past while stepping into the future.

I enjoyed it. Of course I love rainbows for many reasons: they give a positive feeling, rainbows are a symbolism of the various differences on one generalized topic..... ok going off the trail a bit. But most of all rainbows bring out positive reactions from people and the way you expressed that in this poem was remarkable.

Nickie, I appreciate your review. I hope your day is filled with rainbow happiness! Lydi**
This reminded me of my birthday last year...there was a rainbow right outside my front door after it had rained for all of ten minutes! I mean, how many people get to say they had a rainbow on their birthday?
Thank you for sharing this extraordinary write, Lydia...I wish you the very best in the upcoming year!
You weave a lovey spell Lydi like carpeting dew crystalizing the world into a single visualized moment of transparency.

just like the color in the rainbow, every stage of our lives is represented by different colors and in order for us to truly appreciate it, we must look at it as a whole. wonderful!
Listening to the "music" play within our perceptions... thought-full piece Lydia.

As always Lydi your wording easily transports the reader to where you want them to go. By the way, sorry if you found the tile of one of my postings insensitive, that was not my intent. Your friend in words, Pete
