Oh I loved the philosophy here lydi! Wonderful. You speak a great truth for those who would head the wise perspective.
The format was a distraction. Your poetry was very strong and needed no "devise" to get the point across.
I honestly would change the deminishing font...
Otherwise, loved, loved and loved this poem.

Like you've always said, Lydi, when you post a poem you are giving over its meaning to its readers. Their perspectives will color every word you've written until it is unrecognizable to the poet. None of us will live forever and we can only hope that what remains of our intentions when we wrote it, have, at least to some extent, survived that translation. Your graphic and poem are striking. I was caught up in the flame of each.

Oh yes! "the unfamiliar eventually will be familiar
the eloquent erodes into gibberish "....this explains life with such depth and wisdom, Lydi.
Life's so much more than just running the rat race. Thank you so much for reposting this, my friend.

We never know how long our candle will burn but we can't lose all that makes life exciting and worth living by accepting the mundane. We miss the whole point of living when we do. Nicely done.

Makes you wonder how much really does get lost in translation....the minutes tick away and with it the chance to catch the vibrancy of life...well said my friend!
Life is indeed short and fragile, so better not to get caught up in it's many varying eccentricities! Instead, grab it by both handles and enjoy it ! Time waits for no man ! ( or woman )!!
A poem short in length yet rich in detail and eloquent in it's portrayal !!
