The melody
of mysterious loneliness
resides in self imposed solitude
till a brave dreamer
comes to call.
Shadows interlace
creating a sensual facade
of fantasies vibrating
as they patiently wait
to break through
reality’s boundaries.
But do they dare?
The labyrinth of desire
taunts the maze of logic
as it seesaws over
the undulating abyss.
Passion struggles valiantly
to make it through
but truly there is no need - -
for, indeed, concupiscence
already lives there.
I don't know if you know this, but I think I am your biggest fan..... I, of simple mind just stand in awe of your talent and ability to take common words and make them special, and often unused words become magical, and it makes your poetry stand above mere lines on a page. You make me want to be a better writer. Trace

boy do i ever love this one Lydi ...so sensually titillating ... so many words and phrases to mention "i like them" ... and there they stand ... two metaphors of reality ... should i? should i not .. each with a different source of decision making ... an abyss indeed it is .. and how i do recall my terrifying youth ... oh how i want and need ...hormones raging ........ ohhhhhhhhh my goodness ...... the abyss! and your closing gives me such a chuckle ... the fears subside ... the mind can step aside ... really enjoy your talents Lydi .. natural sense of rhythm, wonderful use of language, story telling and character development on a rather different level ... do they dare indeed :)))))

There's desire, then there's desire, and then there's concupiscence, and if ya pronounce it correctly, I might just let ya tickle my fancy..... I feel as tho a disclaimer needs to be inserted somewhere.. Glad I found this today Lydi** before the feeling wore off... that should teach to go to a family wedding and deprive me of me Friday fix....................... :)

Yes Trace you are right ... Your writing style has some similarities with Eva Rosehill. But similarities is not a word here otherwise I will be committing a grievous sin all in the name of poetry . For I could not compare apples to oranges . This one Ms Lydia is a very tasty red delicious crispy freshly pick apple from the tree . If you give me the permission, why pick one if I could pick two ?
