The Beast I HateA Poem by D.J. Anderson
I look in the mirror and I see a beast
If I ignore, on my soul it will feast I cannot stand it, kill it, or even demand it It lurks beneath stalking and waiting Brooding, lusting, and even hating My humanity fading into the black The evil within will make me crack Out with the demon to take over all In with the human for the eternal fall Oh well then, it must be my fate This thing IS the beast I hate
