Note TakingA Poem by Luxe
I swear
You make me wanna pull out A blue spiral college ruled notebook And take notes Your intergalactic Supernatural conversation About the Christmas lights in our sky Will never cease to bring out the urge To pull out my favorite ball point pen And take notes I want to take notes On black holes And Saturn's moons But more importantly I want to examine your universe And take notes I want to take notes on how your eyes constantly shift As if your iris' are tiny telescopes That allow you to see within the supernovas you're so deeply involved in I want to take notes On how you catch your breath When you talk too fast But don't know you're talking too fast As if you're pushing out the information quick enough To not get stuck behind your lips I want to take notes On the words you say that I don't know And not necessarily to make me smarter (Which is another goal) But to hear them over in my head Because God knows they sound a million times better in your voice (Well, maybe not as good as Morgan Freeman) I want to take notes on why I take notes on you You make me so poetic I kind of hate it and I kind of love it I want to take notes on the universe I was scared to love Because I was told I was never smart enough to comprehend it But somehow you understand I could have the IQ of a toothbrush And still ponder the inifinities I want to take notes On how our universes collide How my wormholes lead to your How the universe in my head lies right in front of your eyes In my red-brown rings And over the clouds above our heads © 2016 Luxe |
