Sleep

Sleep

A Poem by Luxe

Sleep is hard to get
With two hyper hotdog dogs on your bed
Pressing their god-awful noses against your ankle
Like a small compressed and slightly slimy
Alaska grazing your skin

But I deal
Because I would rather spend a few extra moments
Calming hyper hotdog dogs and having you on my mind
Then lying unconscious on a 20 year old mattress

Speaking of you
You're pretty cool
You kinda hit that spot
Right in the middle of my chest
Deep to my ribs
(Not my heart,
Don't make it weird)

That unclassified gold matter
That's been there forever
I like to think
That's what's in Area 51

All the gold matter of souless people in the world
Gathered into one
And it will only be used
Once the world is too far gone and needs it

But that doesn't matter
My focal point of now is
Drying my legs of hotdog dog snot
And falling asleep with your lips on my mind

About
We are together, all the pieces of me, parts of me, and people I'm made of. We were born together, we live together and we'll die together. I am nothing but the sky and every element that makes up our.. more..
