Before I Light the Next

Before I Light the Next

A Poem by Luxe

Today I couldn't even look at you
For more than three seconds
Because every time our eyes connected
I could feel the capillaries
In my cheeks
Causing my roses to bloom
And I had to look away
(Although I didn't want to
You're face is too beautiful
To not be carved in my mind)
Because im sure if I didn't
Then my cheeks would explode and bleed out along the tile floor
Today you asked me why I chose
To get hooked on cigarettes
When in reality
The need for cigarettes
Is absolutely nothing compared
To the hook I already have on you
So if I could pack you nearly in a box
Drag and fill my lungs with you
I most definitely, absolutely
And positively would

About
We are together, all the pieces of me, parts of me, and people I'm made of. We were born together, we live together and we'll die together. I am nothing but the sky and every element that makes up our.. more..
