Nimis multa simulA Poem by Lux in TenebrisWhilst it may not be my best work, its a tribute to my hero, and someone taken far to soon. Title means much too soon.Tormented by media fabrication and fantasy, Your mind must have been in agony. They made a living of your private life, Each article and story just another knife, As you said, they got the people confused, Created doubt in the words they used. All you wanted was privacy, to be left alone, To share you message with the world, but have a life of your own. They took that from you, you could never get it back, Each article they wrote, just another personal attack. They would have sold their souls, Just to get their stories told. Is it to much to ask for privacy?, To be let be? They may have turned some against you, And to them forged an opinion no words will undo. But to me and many others, an icon, a legend and a savior, The purest soul one could have, the world will never see greater. Your songs, your voice, you, saved me from an abyss, Hectic and out of control, but you made it seem bliss In my darkest moments of depression, Every song of yours was a blessing. Without you I would not be the man I am today, I only wish I could thank you, somehow, someday. But you left this earth, the one you wished to heal An end brought upon by parasites, the truth they wished to conceal. I wish I could have met you, defended you, known you, Been there to share your world view. But fate dictated otherwise, it was not meant to be, Perhaps in another life, I shall wait and see. I thank for all you have done for me, Hardly seems like reality. That a man who didn't know I existed, Saved me, gave me joy, it all seems mystic. You changed not just me but the world, another you there will never be You are sorely missed, by so many millions, including me. Now more than ever we need heed your words, “Heal the world” a brighter future we can move towards. You endured so much hate, Not even death could give your name a clean slate. As they’ll do anything for money Their souls black and ugly. Despite this you left a legacy of music so great, That much no one can argue, belittle or debate. Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, Invincible, No matter one’s opinion, to dance to these is irresistible. Songs that will bring joy to those consumed by hate and grief, Knowing you overcame the media despite their best efforts, must now be a relief. Where ever you now rest, You connected to millions of people, each truely blessed You were, are and always will be the “King of Pop” I thank and love you, you were a once in a lifetime Michael. © 2017 Lux in TenebrisFeatured Review
