Killing Me Softly

Killing Me Softly

A Poem by BeautyFromTheEarth93
"

I love the song "Killing Me Softly" and I took inspiration from the title for the title of my poem. This is about the guy I wrote about in "Will You?" and "I Cried For You...I Cried For Me..." Enjoy! I am Gabby G. and the girl I talk about is another girl

"

You are killing me softly

The wound is deep but you cannot see.

You grabbed her hand today

And walked down the hallway

Happy as can be

As you were holding the hand of Gabby.

Gabby...what words can I use to say?

The girl who is perfect in every way

Long, straight hair and not one amiss

Skinny girl with a face that is flawless.

You are killing me softly

The wound is deep but you cannot see.

A real woman is not what you want

Gabby wears short shorts and her body she flaunts

I wear jeans and am very modest

She lies to you...but ,with you, I am always honest.

I am still convinced that one day

You will wake and see the error of your ways

You will knock on my door

Smile, and be with that girl no more.

You are killing me softly

The wound is deep but you cannot see.

Well done...I love how you allowed the real "you" to shine through, despite the fact that "he" wanted to see you the way he thought...although distorted!
