Our Last SummerA Poem by BeautyFromTheEarth93
Your long locks lingering in the light breeze, The sweet smell of strawberries, The last summer of you and me. Youth is a precious gift, Summer, a child’s game, Our innocent and abrupt childhood we shared, You and I were one and the same. Things started changing, Priorities became different, But our friendship was like a rock, It’s obvious that you were heaven-sent. God sent you to be my best friend, To bring me out of this depression, You took my heavy heart and made it light, But, I just have one question. As summer closes, worries come to my mind, Will you still love me and care?, Will we see each other at summer’s end?, Will you still be there?
