The Tears I ShedA Poem by BeautyFromTheEarth93I wrote this after I went to therapy today. I talked to my therapist about Bernadette, the girl who died, and I started crying again. The tears I shed, Cannot match the pain, Cannot equal the thoughts, That rush through your head.
Who am I?, Just a 15-year old girl, We kids are supposed to live, Yet, a beautiful child had to die.
They say that only the good die young, But she, the best of them all, Did not deserve this, The breath is caught in my lungs.
Not knowing her character, Makes these tears strange, But it must be my heart, That wishes I knew her.
So sleep, my beautiful, Sleep in peace, Rest your sweet head, And know that heaven is wonderful.
Do not worry about us, We'll make it somehow, Just know that we will never forget, That sweet face we all used to trust.
Goodnight, Bernadette, Live your life in heaven, Just know that things are better, Since you and God met. © 2008 BeautyFromTheEarth93Featured Review
