With All My Heart

I wrote this poem, AGAIN, during Earth Science. Something about science just inspires me...haha. Well, I wrote most of this poem from my own experience. But as I am only 15, I did not get married. haha.

Trusting you with all my heart,

Would be the hardest thing to do,

I wonder if you think about me,

The way I hate thinking about you.

 

It's not that I hate you,

But I just can't see,

How this could work,

How we could always be.

 

I am so confused and scared,

I don't want to be hurt again,

I don't understand,

Why we can't just be friends.

 

I tried to keep my distance,

My heart was locked up,

It was closed for repairs,

It was you I didn't want to trust.

 

I have been hurt so many times,

By friends and guys both,

But, something I see inside you,

Has taught me to hope.

 

I close my eyes,

and shut my ears,

Trying to forget,

All the pain I have felt through the years.

 

But, loving you is so easy,

Because of the way you make me feel,

Your love completes me,

So let's seal the deal.

 

Let's walk down the aisle,

I in white and you in black,

Let's say those vows and kiss,

All of my doubts, I take back.

 

I know that I was right,

In believing in you,

You will always love me,

You will always be true.

boys and love..boys know absolutely nothing about love
boys want a girl to show off...a trophy girlfriend
boys want sex and some want romance but all of them want sex
boys will do or say anything to get sex but don't want to be tied down because that eliminates their chances of sex with other girls
love is patient and kind and unselfish, love is calm, confident and strong
which brings me back to my first observation that boys know absolutely nothing about love
it's great that the girl in the poem wants love and views marriage as the natural outcome of her desires
too often those desires end badly in teen pregnancy, forced single parenthood and broken hearts and lives
with those things considered, it is very important for girls to remember one thing...boys know absolutely nothing about love. lol sad but true, great write here.
