The Loss of A FriendA Poem by BeautyFromTheEarth93I wrote this poem after my friendship with my best friend diminished to nothing. You called me names and put me down, Every day was like a torture, Seeing you act the way you do, Hearing you say the things you say, It pains me more than you can imagine.
We were supposed to be best friends, You were my sister, I confided in you, I still miss those playground days, Laughing and swinging and not needing much more, But then we grew up.
It seems like you went your way and I went mine, Two people so similar, could become so different, It did not take long, just a few years, But it happened and I have no regrets, For now I understand that I am better off without you. © 2008 BeautyFromTheEarth93Reviews
