That's beautiful, BeatleChick. I loved the Beatles from the first moment I heard them--November, 1963, I believe it was. I was watching the Jack Paar show that evening when he showed a film clip exposing The Beatles to America for the very first time. Although I liked all the members, John Lennon was my favorite. I now say with conviction that he was the primary force behind the Beatles. Like when I heard of JFK, Martin Luther King jr and RFK's deaths, so I shall never forget when I heard about John Lennon. His music and his spirit lives forever.
I too was a Beatle fan and John Lennon was my favorite Beatle, a wonderful tribute to a superb artist and friend to everyone and as you and he both said, All you need is love.
A wonderful tribute to one of music's legends. Yes," All you need is Love", "Imagine", "Give Peace a Chance" and so much more did his heart and mind offer... A tragic day, "The day John Lennon died".. Beautifully penned.

i was drawn to read this poem simply because of the title. i love john lennon. & this poem is beautifully written. it really expresses the loss of such a talented person who did so much to try to change the world. wonderful piece of writing.
Reading and writing is my passion. I love a good love story and a sappy movie every now and then. I love God, makeup, Paul McCartney, Twilight, Robert Pattinson and Edward Cullen!
