The Girl Who Never

The Girl Who Never

A Poem by LuthienThalia

She doesn't have a dragon tattoo,
She's never kicked a hornet's nest,
But she did play with fire.

Drawing correlations where they begin and end,
Finding the formula of where she starts,
Finding the pieces-parts that make-up who she is.

She's not a European hacker,
She's not a ward of state,
She's never even thrown a punch.

But she knows what it's like,
She knows how it feels,
The fear, the emptiness, the hollowness.

She never lets anyone get close,
Knowing that even if she does,
She'll only end in the same place.

The fear, the pain, the hollowness, the emptiness,
It's a cycle, unending.
Trust, only to be broken again.

So... beautiful. I loved it! It flows so easily, it's very poetic and really paints an image in the reader's head, of what she's feeling. You wanted to portray an interesting concept, and you captured it perfectly. :)

It always takes two to trust, but
then it takes two to love, two to
hurt and two to feel the
excruciating pleasure of being as
one wth another.
Sure it`s worth the gamble, it`s a
win/win situation.
