The Neighbors Talked That DayA Poem by LuthienThaliaThe neighbors talked that day, They tittered and chatted, All about the news that day.
They came to take her away that day, The men in white coats, so stark and bright, They went and bottled her up that day.
They had to scoop her up that day, The men had to pick up the pieces, Her torn mind and heart that day.
The gurney was loaded that day, A woman who had finally stopped, All thought of peace had ceased that day.
The police did not enjoy that day, The call was brief and sweet, Not telling at all of the scene that day. She finally broke that day, Her mind gave way and her heart just stopped, The numbness had completely taken her over that day.
The neighbors talked that day, She had screamed and cried, All through the night till that day. © 2012 LuthienThaliaFeatured Review
