Fear

Writing about an encounter I had today in order to make sense of it.

Merely a car,

That's all it was.

But the passenger,

That's who stilled my heart.

Only a glimpse,

That's all it was.

But the driver,

That's who appeared.

Simply another person,

That's all it was.

But the memories,

That's who made my fear.
