NonsenseA Poem by Rev. David J. Schreffler
"I hear you", said the man who is deaf
As his comment fell on deaf ears; "I won't stand for it", said the double amputee As he stamped out corruption all year. "I see" said the man born blind As he looked for his hammer and saw; "Hands down" said the armless man As he reached for any conclusion at all. "You don't say" said the mute profoundly As he struggled to speak his mind; "Smells fishy", said the man with no nose For a grindstone was all he could find. © 2015 Rev. David J. Schreffler |
