Time

Time

A Poem by Rev. David J. Schreffler
"

Cosmic Time

"
Cosmic Time
Time without Time
Look at the beauty of that star nebula
It doesn't exist anymore

Cosmic Time
"I'm three minutes late for my meeting"
Drip....drip....drip...
Another hundred million years washed away

We fear time, we capture time
Time is at once our enemy
and our friend; cosmic time has no companion
with which he can share time

"I don't have time to date"
"Can you give me the time?"
"Wrack 'em up we have time for one more game"
Each soul melts into dust and sand

In Cosmic time....

I find our fixation with time quite amusing. Those 'three minutes,' have come to mean so much, and yet the sum total of our three score year and ten is but a blink of the creators eye.

Very much enjoyed this. Beccy.
