Smoke

Smoke

A Poem by Rev. David J. Schreffler
"

Just to capture a moment in Life

"
A whisp of smoke through the sunlight gleams
Captures a moment - glimmering streams

Then it is gone, this faint array
Of light and mist - an ethereal display

So goes life between wants and cares
Shimmering moments - gone in thin air

Like mist in the sunlight, snapshots lost
Or as the winter sun melts a field of frost.

I love how you have placed this image of life through
everything is very much fleeting
the best thing one can do is enjoy the moments we have for what they simply are

Reverend, I know that I am impressed with both your message and your rhyme. I hope to see more of your work in the days to come.
