Chapter 6

Ashlee blearns what her test says.

My hands are shaking as I lay the test still on the floor.

 

“What does it say?”

 

“I have to wait a few minutes for clear results.” I explain to Tyler.

 

Tyler doesn’t say anything back.

 I look away from the test. I already know what my answer will be-it’s the confirmation that really scares me. What am I going to do? My parents are going to kill me; I don’t know what Dallas will think! What if he breaks up with me? He wouldn’t do that, would he?

Tyler looks over at the test.

 

“Wow.” She breathes.

 

I’m too scared to look and don’t reply.

 

“It says that you’re pregnant.” Tyler holds the test in front of my face.

 

I nod slowly. I had a feeling I would be.

 

“What are you going to do Ash?”

 

“I don’t know Ty, I have to tell my parents and talk to Dallas.”

 

She nodded.

 

“Ash, in a perfect world he won’t leave you.”

 

“Are you saying he will leave me?!” I cry.

 

“No, I’m just saying in a perfect world he wouldn’t.”

 

I bit my lip.

 

“Well it’s a good thing I have a perfect life.”

 

Tyler looks at me.

 

“If you had a perfect life you wouldn’t be pregnant.”
