Chapter Four

Ashlee calls Tyler and confesses to her that she thinks she is pregnant.

 

I am on the phone with Tyler and she is telling me about her new pet. The gold fish.

 

“Tyler, that’s really cool but I need to tell you something.” I reply.

 

“Ok, but wait! You never asked what his name was.”

 

I sigh.

 

“What’s the fish’s name Tyler?”

 

She giggles.

 

“Its name is Gold fish!”

 

“You got a fish and named it Gold Fish?” I ask.

 

“Yeah, duh. Because it IS a Gold fish.” She laughs.

 

“Alright, Can I tell you now?” I ask.

 

“Tell me what?” She asks curiously.

 

“My periods a week late.”

 

“Lucky! I’m on mine right now.” She tells me.

 

“No! Not lucky, not lucky at all.”

 

“What, why not? I hate aunt flow.”

 

“Because, I think I might be pregnant.”

 

“Well did you tell Dallas?”

 

“No. I told you first.”

 

“Well he’s gonna be mad you never told him.”

 

“I’m going to tell him! I just wanted to talk to you first.”

 

“Oh, well gosh Ashlee. I don’t know what to say!”

 

“I don’t wan’t you to say anything. I wan’t you to come and get a test with me. Please?” I ask her.

 

She sighs.

 

“I guess so. But if you’re pregnant how are you going to be head cheer leader?”

 

“I don’t know. That’s not my biggest worry right now Ty.”

 

Once I have fully explained to Tyler why I need a test right away she agrees and hangs up. She’s going to pick me up in five minutes. I put my hand on my stomach.

 

“I know you are in there.” I whisper.
