A Perfect Life.

A Perfect Life.

A Chapter by Olivia
"

Ashlee is a seventeen year old girl who is starting her first day as a grade twelve student. She has been dating a boy named Dallas since February. She has a best friend named Tyler

"

It was September fourth, and my first day of grade twelve. I had everything I needed for the day with me. My purse was filled with lip gloss, a purple hair brush, mascara, water proof eyeliner, blush, a blush brush, a compact mirror, my school schedule and tampons. Tampons I really didn’t need.
Yes, the first day of grade twelve and I was late. Not late for my first classes, I only wish it was simple like that. No. I was one week late.

It’s not that I thought I was pregnant; it was just something that was in the back of my mind. Ok. I did think I was pregnant. I already had the suspicion that this would happen. Unfortunately I had missed more then one birth control pill and my boyfriend and I do not use anything else for back up. I didn’t have any signs of pregnancy besides missing my period. Somehow I already knew ‘the bun was definitely in my oven.’

I slowly walked down the hallway to where my locker was located. I had picked out my locker a few weeks before school had started again; it was right beside my best friend Tyler’s.

“Ashlee, I have been calling you for like five minutes. I was trying to get you to wait so I could catch up to you.”

I turned around.

“Oh my gosh, Tyler I didn’t even hear you”

She stared at me weird.

“Well maybe, just maybe you should get your ears checked, girl!”

I nodded.

“I’m sorry; I guess I was just thinking.”

“Thinking?! We haven’t even been to our first class yet and you’re already thinking?”

I sighed.

“Tyler, I wasn’t thinking about school. I promise.”

She didn’t look satisfied at my answer.

“Well what were you thinking about then?” She questioned.

“Umm, the summer really.”

She grinned and poked me in the stomach.

“Oh, I know what you’re thinking about! You are thinking about the summer you had with Dallas!”

I nodded.

“Yes Tyler, you are correct.”

I grabbed my new green binder and started to walk away.

“Wait! You need to fill me in with the details!” She shrieked trying to catch up with me.

I laughed.

“Tyler, wouldn’t you rather I skipped the gory details.”

She shook her head.

“No I wan’t every single detail. It turns me on hearing about it.”

I stared at her weird.

“Oh gross! Ok. Tyler that is disgusting knowing my love life turns you on.”

I playfully swatted her arm.

She winked at me.

“God you are gross.” I stated as I began to walk faster.

She kept following me.

“Ashlee, you’re going to have to tell me sooner or later!”

I rolled my eyes as I walked away. I grabbed my schedule out of my purse to find out what my first subject was. ‘Social.’ I have always hated that class! To top it off it was always a miracle when I passed my social classes.

I walked into my social class and looked around. So far none of my friends had appeared to be in this class. I sighed and sat down in an empty desk I found in the back of the room. I opened up my binder and started to doodle on a piece of paper.
As I was drawing someone came up behind me and covered my eyes with their hands.

“Mmm, I love the way that skirt makes your legs look.” He whispered in my ear.

I giggled.

“Hi Dallas.” I said happily.

He grinned. “Hey baby, so I guess we are going to be social partners.”

“I didn’t even know that you were in social this semester.” I told him.

He laughed.

“Well, I wanted to surprise you.”

He kissed me on the top of the head, and then sat in an empty desk beside me. I Looked back down at my binder and continued to doodle.

“Babe, is that a poodle?” Dallas asked looking over at my drawings.

I pouted. “No, that’s a monkey.” I told him.

He nodded. “And it looks very cute.” He laughed.

“Shut up.” I told him.

He laughed.

Mrs. Elli my social teacher walked into the classroom. She had her blonde hair cut really short and was wearing jeans and a dark blue top. She went to the white board and wrote down her name.

“Hi, class. Most of you already know that my name is Mrs. Elli. I come from a family of three…”

I tuned out while Mrs. Elli did her long introduction. Seriously with what that woman was saying she could have written an autobiography.
I started to draw a big flower beside my poodle/ dog. Dallas was looking over at me. I smiled at him. He really is cute. He has huge green eyes and light brown hair. He is also captain of the basket ball team. We started dating in February. He was my secret admirer for Valentines Day. He had got me the prettiest flowers I have ever seen. Blue lilies. I guess you could say that he and I are the typical high school couple. He’s captain of the basketball team and I am head cheer leader. We both hangout with the same type of people and are pretty happy with who we are. Well for now we are. I am not to sure how happy he will be with himself when he finds out that his cheer leader girlfriend is ‘knocked up.’

Ok. It has only been a week. I need to stop thinking this. There is no way that I could be pregnant. No way. Oh but there is.
