WordsA Poem by LupusTacitaWords
Words can bear so much, so little, within meager frames. They can bring about the rise of an empire, Or spur the sedition of oppressed peoples. The lightest feather bringing empires to their knees. So why do we take our language and bastardize? We strip it to nothing, and that is all which will remain. Broken bits of our past glories, laid bare upon the ground. Futures will see and think us a regression, Or perhaps they will not see at all. For we will have blinded them to reason, thought. They will sit and stare, dumb, and it will be our fault. © 2015 LupusTacitaReviews
