Tremble

Tremble

A Poem by Kenneth Compton
"

A little something I wrote after a night of drinking and secrets

"

Broken
Like so many playthings of children
And yet she moves me to tremble

Stolen

Like riches of kings long forgotten
And yet I try to dissemble

Molten

The passion that churns blood that's beatin'
And yet all I do is crumble

Spoken

Like so many lost songs of Siren
And now I move her to tremble
