Lost In You

Lost In You

A Poem by Kenneth Compton
"

Another poem that seems like a good idea at 2 AM that probably isn't

"

I get lost in you

A minotaur in the maze of what you do to me

I see the real you

Hidden behind the stains and smiles you pretend to be

I try to show you

That not all this world can offer is pain and misery

I wish to hold you

So you could know a touch that offers warmth and safety

I want to show you

The beauty of who you truly are is what I see

I get lost in you

And I long for just one chance to get you lost in me
