To you

To you

A Poem by Luna

You are not I
You are the sun and the stars
Shining the brightest in misery, in pain
Cut through my skin, through my stolen heart
Stolen self, this self I cannot bear
What self,
There is only bone and flesh
All is forgotten but blood stains, dark mirrors
Dark hours,
Long life, meaningless
Tiring words, truths of no end
Endings to no beginnings,
I will end this, to nights I have yet to sleep
To sleepless nights, to your regrets
To ugly thoughts, consuming, sick cries
To nobody
To you
To I, yours, of no name,
Of no body, no veins, no voice,
To nothing
Forget me not,
Where do I go, where you are not
Where is this life,
Take me, for I would
Carry me away from this madness.

What a beautiful write about losing yourself. Really enters the mind of the narrator feeling her every pain, her every cry for help. But nothing is all she hears. I like the last line. "Carry me away from this madness." I can feel the plea. The desperation. Great poem!
