Delusional Summer

Delusional Summer

A Poem by s.ms

summer envelopes bodies in honey
warmth floods through veins,
a fluid breeze caresses hair and dances amongst absent eyes
cicadas sing violently,
waves trap vulnerable souls,
salty tears arise
summer drowns the youth in hope, allows them to escape reality
it blurs their vision through golden light but winter brings clarity

I would love some advice on how to improve this poem and I am not sure what the title should be.
