Awkward cravings

Awkward cravings

A Poem by Shane

Absent best friend

You deepened my dent

Sanity touched by vulnerability

But my sucker love is heaven sent

The dusk lit up a scandal

By dawn it’d left a scar

Life at twilight

Howling wind

Heavy breathing

And frightened within

Struck by experiencing

the ambiguity of my reality

Nightly Never Ending Story

Leaving contradictory peace

I’m infected with your beauty

the side effect’s losing speech

Listen closely Deceitful Love,

hear me speak

You took over my being

and left a hurt and empty freak

Forever lost in an endless maze

Frequently trying not to get out

And still

Your love is what I crave
