Seedling II

Seedling II

A Poem by Lunalove6963

I used to get mowed down
Every time I started to sprout
The lawn taker
Didn't much care
So you dug me up
Seeing my worth
Planting me in your
Apartment window sill planter
Some days I grow
And bloom
For you
But on occasion
You forget
That I need water to grow
So I sit and wait
Hoping
That you don't forget about
How much I need
You to nourish me

Interesting use of plant symbolism in this one. Perhaps at times there is a lack of attention in the relationship, felt more by one partner than another. Thus does water symbolize love here. Nicely done.
