Winters Burn

Winters Burn

A Poem by Sanctuary Dementia

Borrowed the moment, betrayer of heavens

Darkness is thickening as breathing gets harder

Taking from others more than you give back

Acting in anger to tell another fable

You poisoned the ash, as you wish to be one of us

Followed the trail, yet you waste the time away

Protested the trial; the accuser is guilty

“And we are the judges that sentence the jury.

So pray for silence with utter contentment

We need you to learn to cry without darkness.

Face the pain like the others and become heartless

The world has let you down yet somehow we cannot see this

How do you bear the winters burn?

Don’t worry in time you too will fade away

Secrets and silence and then the scent of treason

Just blow off the darkness and bring in the daylight

We must just kill you theres no reason for your life

Rules of nature are never unfair or cruel

We shall put you on trial for still living on”

The dark struggle against our personal devil

Fear would be justified, yet we fight on anyway

Things that you do will come back to haunt you

Karma strings linking lives through eternity

We bear the winters burn and yet never fade

Where’s your trust? Where’s your heart?

Whose your friend who holds you there in the end?

Who do you call afraid? Should we start to sink down too?

Yet we live on the path of extending help not your hatred

A lot of things are changing, rearranging, handful of color

Yet in the darkest of times we stand, through bullshit we hear

So why should we give you the chance to hurt us again?

Counting one, two, three, we are odds defying gravity

This needs to change, though you will forever be alone

You cannot hide behind your growing walls of ice

And you will bear the sign that we wont fade.

Author's Note

Sanctuary Dementia
The italics are the words that are representing those who are spreading hatred and attacking some of the most brilliant authors I have ever met. I dont see why people cant just accept things that are right in front of them and not take others words. Look at the past, and the hatred tt it consumes, do you want the future to be the same?

About
Misery is one of my nicknames, it at one point all that I was for both myself, as well as for those around me. I was vile, I was cruel, and I do stil retain the ability to be as such, but Ive learned .. more..
