A Hypocrisy Defined

A Hypocrisy Defined

A Story by Sanctuary Dementia

Another old piece, a blast from the past if you will, ironically the issues still have far too much meaning.

"

This world is contradictive. Its run by a hypocrisy. Overrun by hypocrites in suits the so-called "world leaders". They try to claim they’re "stopping these wars", yet all they do is instigate more violence. They try justifying their actions by saying that its the only way to stop these meaningless quarrels, but its not. Why should we care if all our leaders want to do is to reenact the bloody and corrupt history we all share? History is doomed to repeat itself anyways. Why should we care if we repeat the course of history and ruin our own lives if only to justify our leaders actions? We shouldn’t just follow our leaders blindly without their own proof of justification for their own actions and their commands. Many wars are started for irrelevant reasons that are, in a sense, as much an excuse as the actual truth. Most wars are started for decent causes, yet in the end we truly understand that the politics of our insecure world have warped our true reasons and insight for their own perverse reasons. Everyone in our fucked up world has an ulterior motive for helping or doing something of some importance. Why the world is so corrupt as to bring about their own end is beyond me. This world is a hypocrisy. Its run by a hypocrisy. Everyone here in this world is a hypocrite. Why should we all hope for a peaceful world; without war, without destruction, without looking at our fellow humans with contempt at their existence? Who are we to ask for unity, when we cant even accept our own selves? How can we accept this world of lies? This... is a hypocrisy. We look down upon others for they look down upon us. Why should we bother to change them? At least then we can be at peace. That’s what we think. Never bothering to stop and wonder about our own contempt for others. How we look down upon others as well No ones ever going to be anything other than a hypocrite. Life itself is a hypocrisy. We are all blissfully unaware of the horrifying truth of the world. This world is nothing more than one large hypocrisy. Why should we care though? That’s life. Ones happiness is often times gained by ones own suffering. Ones suffering takes away thoughts of happiness, thus helping one open up to new joys, new happiness. Without pain there cannot be joy. Without joy, you cannot experience pain. Is ones happiness truly wonderful if its gained by the persons own anguish? Can we truly be happy at such a price? Such a heavy cost? We shouldn’t have to pay such a large price for such a small joy? Shouldn’t we really have to sacrifice a small thing for such a large pain? Are we really such cursed creatures to have to suffer for our own happiness? Equivalency is such a pain....
