Curse Me.

Curse Me.

A Poem by Luna Lazarus
"

No.

"
I've been saving my tears in silver-encrusted vials
And beckoning to dragons.
Growing out my hair,
and eating apples.

I've been wearing dresses
And singing to birds.
Giving myself black eyes,
waiting for you.

I hold out my hands to receive
The slipper,
The kiss,
The adrenaline rush threat of romance
Still waiting for you.

Then I stop
Look around
Realizing I built the tower myself.

Well, I think you're learning a lot quicker than most people...
I admire the image you paint of the girl-in-love-in-waiting -- like some kind of dark romantic dream; Gothic, I suppose you'd say. But good. Interesting and colorful fairy-tale-type references. The final line is very telling.
Good work you've done here.
