A Poem by Luna Lazarus
"

No.

"

The light fades out,

And slowly stars burst into life.

The moon hangs precariously low-

At any given moment, it may come crashing down.

The City settles into silence

The first moment of peace, in a world of fierce chaos.

A chorus of deep sighs…

Calm ensues.

It may not last,

So drink it in while you have the opportunity,

The chance.

And give into it.

Fall into it.

Release.

"So drink it in while you have the opportunity"

This piece was eloquent without being too wordy. I'm quite glad I got to drink it in. Pour me another shot if this is what your words taste like. J'adore

Poetry is my water, my fuel, and my acidic regret in the form of eloquent text. I am Luna. Luna is I. I renamed myself Luna so I could always be reminded of the beauty of the moon, and strive to achi.. more..
