PavementA Poem by Luna LazarusNo.Splashes on the pavement Split the world open, and shake the clouds, Utterly their superiors.
Doors slam and bodies fall to their knees, Shaking in anticipation.
Harsh marks on skin.
Cold voices crowd together and spill outward, A wave of epic proportions, Threatening to overpower all.
Pleading eyes scream for mercy In a painfully silent torment.
Lining up for the end, They lost the god all wanted most.
Side to side, They encountered this hell together Bracing themselves for the coming storm.
Ice cold skin collects the moisture While statues of one’s former self Weathers the fall.
Diving into the scene where it all starts, Knowing you can’t reverse what has already started, The world implodes from these splashes on pavement. © 2011 Luna LazarusAuthor's Note
