I Hope You Choke And DieA Poem by Luna LazarusNo.When you took me in your strong arms, And told me this time it was different, You were different, I trusted you enough to bare my soul completely for you.
When I sobbed and choked out how scared I was When you left her alone in the rain, When we stayed other places when you came home.
You said you were scared. You apologized, with promises to control your inner demon.
When we laughed, When we cried, When we walked away. All together.
You said it would always be like this. You said you were different from all the other failed experiments. You said you wouldn’t lie, You said we could stay, You said you cared. You said you would break the knife, in a metaphor.
You said you loved me.
You lied. © 2011 Luna LazarusAuthor's Note
