Good Morning, Sunshine.

Good Morning, Sunshine.

A Poem by Luna Lazarus
"

No.

"

In the lonely light of sunrise,

When the world turns icy blue.

And cruel,

Eyes blink open

And are comforted by the sight of Lover.

Others twitch to life

And are instantly aware of the cold pressing in on all sides.

So alone in dream worlds. . .

The only real soul

In a city full

Of cardboard cutouts.

When your only wish

Is to wake

And know that you can push it out of your head,

You are alone again.

When the bed is so huge

And demanding

You will it to swallow you alive,

Just to know

Something else moves.

First of all I would like to say Welcome to Writers Cafe!

I really liked reading your piece. You definately have a way with words and the words flowed from one to the next with ease. The only thing I would suggest is that the poem was a bit confusing. I couldn't really see any particular images in my head. If you can use your words to paint a more clear picture in my mind, this would be a lot more of an enjoyable read. Other than that I really liked this piece!
