Drip...Drop...

Drip...Drop...

A Poem by Luna Lazarus
"

No.

"

Interweaving spider-like tendrils

Trickle down the plush slope;

Rising up delicately, and bursting forth.

The dam has broken, and a sea of life pours down.

Zoom out and it’s back to that deadly trickle,

Creating open tunnels to guide the serpents down.

Veering wildly to the side,

It reaches for something to hold onto,

Wickedly grabbing at nothing.

Freefalling from skin,

The drop lets go of the body it once knew.

Exploding against the surface below,

It dies pitifully.
