Cellophane Eyes

Cellophane Eyes

A Poem by Luna Lazarus
"

No.

"

Cellophane eyes

Blue-green shards of glass…

But there’s nothing on the other side.

Empty laughter

And sneering pride

‘Think you know me?’

A love hidden in the hallway of demented mirrors

Never lasts like the applause of this last act.

Taunting smiles,

Playing ever so innocently on the edge of this lack of sanity…

You’re a w***e.
