Family Reunion

Chapter Three of Twelve

 

After the assembly I walked home with my friend Markus.

“I can’t believe middle school is finally over for us, it sucks I have to go to a charter school next year.”

“Yeah.” I said in a sad tone

“What’s wrong Drake?”

“Nothing.”

Markus was one of those people who can tell if something is bothering you, but like usual I ignored his question.

“Drake what’s wrong!!” he said running in front of me

“Nothing I’m fine, just worried.”

“About what?”

“Do you remember a guy Named Daniel? He was standing next to me on the gym floor?”

“Drake you were never on the gym floor you were sitting next to me the whole time, why you ask?” he started to look at me as if I was some lunatic

“Never mind it must have been a dream.”

Why doesn’t Markus remember? Then I remembered the spell and how it erased everyone’s memory. I was almost at the entrance to my subdivision which said

Camden heights

“Bye drake” Markus yelled while he ran across the street

“Bye Markus”

I entered the subdivision and ran to my house and when I got there I gazed at the clock and it was five thirty pm, my mom was going to be home any minute. I tried to clean up the house, but there was too many cloths piled up in the Laundry room and dishes from last night were still on the coffee table.

“How am I supposed to clean all this up? I can’t ask Bailey because she’s asleep’’

All of a sudden I had a feeling to say something

“CLASTO!”

A red light came from my fingers and everything was cleaning itself. The laundry was clean and folding, the dishes were clean and putting them self’s away. Right after they were done and the house was clean my mom walked through the door.

“Drake, Bailey you home. Oh my gosh the house is so clean!”

“I know right.” I said

“Where’s Bailey?”

“Sleeping.” I said putting a spare cup into our cabinets

“Ok let her sleeps, you two deserve it for making things spotless.”

“Isn’t this clean.” someone said sarcastically

“Drake gets behind me.” she whispered

“Who are you!” she yelled

“Pity, you forgot about me.” it said in an evil way

A white light suddenly appeared from where the voice was coming from and out of the light Daniel appeared

“Daniel?” I said

“Dan, what happened? What’s wrong?’’ my mom sounded worried

“Why don’t you ask Drake?”

“Drake what happened?” she said checking my face

“Um, well…..” I told her the story of what happened at school with the Batry and how I met “Dan” when I was done she looked at him with a scared expression

“Are they the last one’s?”

“The next Necropolis and guardian .yes, you were supposed to keep them safe!” he yelled

“I did a hell of a lot better then you did!” My mom yelled

“Really!”

“Yes…where were you, when the dragon attacked Dan!”

“I was busy protecting the palace!”

“So that’s more important than protecting your own Kids!”

I was Looking at both of them fight, I was in shock because our father was supposed to be dead. They all told me he died twelve years ago. The room started to spin then everything went black. I Woke up and glanced at the clock it said ten o'clock pm.

“Drake?” someone said

I opened my eyes and it was Bailey.

“Bailey what happened to Dan?”

“That strange man left right after you fainted.” She said

“Oh. ok.”

“I’ll get mom.”

Bailey left and when she came back mom was right behind her.

“Drake are you ok” she said with relieve

“Yeah.”

“Ok good. I have something to tell you kids.”

“What is it?” Bailey said

“That man…his name is Dan and he…he…..is.”

“Is what?” Bailey asked

“He is our father!” I said with frustration

“Right.” mom said sadly

“But I thought he was dead?” Bailey said

“No, he was at his palace in the galaxy.”

“He’s a King!” I screamed

“Yes, and there is more which I can’t tell you.”

“Why?” I said

“Because it’s his place to tell you.” She looked at the ground and started to cry

“And he is here to take you both to his palace for protection.”

“What!” we both yelled

“He is coming to get you January fourth.”

“Great, that’s just great!!!” I said with frustration

“Until then let’s just make the best of it”

“Fine we will. But there are no promises that we will go with him!” I said

“Whatever you say drake.” she said she got up and walked over to my bed and gave me a hug

“It’s late.” She kissed my forehead and then gave Bailey a hug

“Good night you two.”

“Good night mom.”

She walked out of the room and I looked over at Bailey

“Good night Drake.”

“Good night Bailey.”

She walked out of my room and turned off the light. I put my head on my pillow and fell asleep.
