Oh Mirror. MirrorA Poem by Little Pill
Oh mirror, mirror.
She doesn't know her own beauty. It's something you won't let her see. Instead you show her wrinkles that aren't there. And you show crazy messed up hair. You show zits ten times their size. Mirror why do you tell so many lies? Oh mirror, mirror. She doesn't know her own face. You make her think her features are out of place. You show her lips that are much too thin. And eyes that could have come from a clearance bin. You show firm skin as old and sagging. Mirror why do you tells so many false things. Oh mirror, mirror. She doesn't know her own body. It's something you won't let her see. Instead you show her fat where there is only skin and bone. And you show muscles that are anything but tone. You show a body that's no good. Mirror why do you tell so many falsehoods. Oh mirror, mirror. It's not you telling all these lies. It is in fact the girl's own eyes. © 2010 Little PillReviews
