They say you can't love monsters

they’ll turn on you

Maybe even consume you. 



But I see differently 

He's my monster 

my own shadow. 
 
You
are too hidden within yourself
When
I saw you,
The
battles, the fading scars
The
brave warrior, I saw it all.
 
But
when you opened your eyes
I
saw the world
I
saw everything you've ever lived through
I
was there. 


You are the opposite

and together we became this wild/beautiful thing
























Nobody
had to understand.

Hello. Although it doesn't rhyme I think your poem has got something attracting, something very poetic. You showed in it, that scars and appearance is not the most important thing in a relationship, or in life generally. "You are too hiffen within yourself" I don't exactly know what, but this line is very...special in a good way. "And together we became this wild/ beautiful thing nobody had to understand" this also tells everyone to fight for their relationship even everyone else doesn't want it, because only the love between two lovers counts and nor what others believe in. Thank you for this wonderful writing.

Thank you for your lovely review again. And yes I'm with you on that point. And this had to be a unique poem to me, I didn't want it to rhyme, I wanted it to be a story everyone can relate to and yes I guess they do. My title 'You are the opposite' tells a lot about this Poem itself. How two people in a relationship are different yet somehow complete each other :)

we are monsters ourselves... that's what i see. sometimes when you look deep into someone soul, you'll see a reflection of you... I like this piece.. and about the authors note, yeah i do it sometimes, when the time i can't write anything else, i look for a photo that would just pour my thoughts into it... they said its a picture prompt... anyways, its a great muse... thanks for sharing, I enjoyed it!

That's what I do to. And then somehow a word or a sentence or even a little play would form in your mind, and you just need to stretch those lines into a poem. A great inspiration at times. And thank you very much, your words are kind and motivating.

Then you understand very well, i guess it becomes a habit after a while. And its good that you paint you have many forms to express yourself, i cant even draw tree to save my life..

it was my first passion before i get drawn to writing, now i think my heart is failing me, I am not sure i could draw like before... realities and practicalities makes us forget what we used to love.

Maybe talents become hidden, and a bit rusty. But if you truly loved it once, you will never forget your passion nor how to draw. i think you just need to remember the feel of it, and who knows. :)
