They Don't Understand...

They Don't Understand...

A Poem by La Luna

They once told me

i observe people too much

too deeply.

They don't understand what i see,

i see lost souls

Looking for a way back home

searching for lost travellers.

They don't understand how i gaze into their

life trying to find some piece to fit into mine

They don't understand how it feels to feel another

without showing misery.

I once saw a boy i don't know whether

i was attracted to his pain

Or because he was cute

But he had the same look i see every morning

Just before i awake from my daze

and just before i sleep from this nightmare.

But when i see these people

i become calm because i know what they know

and just almost i feel at home

they show what they feel.

But the ones close to me show what they hide

and i know what they hide because i see their lies

in their tail, and i wonder why i am like this

why i read instead of look

why don't i skip and skip till the book finishes

instead of anticipating pain.

I wish they too looked too much,

too deeply

They might understand

why i don't trust too easily.

This is very deep and in an odd sort of way embracing to me. To see these faces and know the pain is ours, the un-trust that is felt dreanches...very cool poem here.
