Chapter two- Now

Her body tingled under the warmth of the sun. Damian gently played with her silverish white hair. He leaned against her back; the sun causing his body to warm against her's.

"Evaline? Are you alright, you seem dazed."

"Just very, very tired."

"Well, let's go inside and rest."

She nodded as he helped her up from the ground. The day was slugish and her mind was flickering to the night she was changed. She forced herself not to show the pain that the flashbacks provided. When she reached her room, she collapsed on the bed.

It took her a short time to fall into a deep sleep; only to fall into another memory of the night. Will she ever escape the torture of that night? The pain that haunted her? She shook as the memory began to take her over into the harsh realtiy of the night she transformed.
