Chapter 1A Chapter by Luna KusanThe temperatures seemed to drop further down the longr the snow fell. It's little, round, cold wettness barely fazed me. Around me, everything was coated in white. The trees resembled cotton balls. Actually, everything did. The hotsprings were the only things that wasn't frozen over. Its beauty heated me over the cold that tried to over take me. The snow began falling heavier the early. I walked across the frost covered ground. I knelt down and untied my black combat boots. With an ease, i took my combat boots off; then my socks. Standing beside my boots, I let my feet sink into the icey cold snow. With shivers going down my spine, I unzipped my jacket and laid it on top of my boots. I looked at the springs, my lips s,oothing into a full smile. I undid my corsetted top and tossed it on top of my jacket along with my bra. Undoing my black skinny jeans, I tugged them and my underware down. I dropped them on top of my other clothes. With a deep breath, I slipped into the warmth of the hotsprings. A sigh slipped from my lips as I eased to the rocks in the center of the springs. Sitting down on a low rock, I let the water rise to my neck. My head rested against the smooth rocks behind me. Snow flakes kissed my skin. Serenity over whelmed me while the water covered my body. I heard somebody caugh. I opened one eye to see Alexander standing in front of me. I could feel a blush rise over my cheeks. An eye brow raised as I looked at him. He coughed trying to figure out what to say. Gaining his composer, he gave a serious look. "We seem to have an issue. Or two." His voice has gotten stronger. "I see. Which are, my little wolfie?" It was easy to see his blush grow as he stiffened. In that moment, I took in his beauty. It was amazing how much he changed from boyish, child-like charm to such gothis handsomeness. Wait, is handsomeness even a word? Either way, he was beautiful. I was lost in the young warrior's look forgetting whatever it was he was saying. "Excuse me, ma'am?" "Huh? Don't call me Ma'am. We're the same age." "Respect though. Anyways, Akemi, it seems you have been called to duty." "I see. Exactly who said it is time?" My throat was getting dry. "The Ace, Miss Sakura." "Well isn't that intresting. I guess out game has begun then, huh?" "Yes, Madam." "Look damn it, stop calling me that!" He started laughing and I lowered myself into the water. Gesh, boys are so complicated. "Sorry, I understand. Ready to go?" Again, my eyebrow raised curiously. I started to stand up and he threw me a towel. His face was turning as red as a freshly rippened tomatoe. I caught the towel laughing hard. All he could do was glare ar me before he turned around. Wrapping the towel around me, I started for the ground. Was I about to find out just what the hell I was? "Yeah, you are. None of use know if you'll like it though. Some of use don't even know just what you are, yet. The elders do though. They'll be teaching you your history and we will be teaching you combat. We'll get to help you train." While he was explaining I managed to put on all of my clothes without falling. Now, looking at him as I dried my hair, I was lost in curiosity. "How'd you know what I was thinking?" "One of my gifts as a wolf." "A what?!" "Here we go again," He started to sit me down, "I'm a warrior, which you already know, but I am not human. Technically, I am not a wolf either. It is my inner being. I can call any part of it to me. "Like a neko from mythology class?" "Well yeah, but moythology isn't just myths. Why do you think everybody describes you with goddess-like beauty?" "Hell if I know." "There's a reason for everything, which you'll learn soon." Alexander has known me since childhood, so he would probably know more about me then I do. Then again, what can I say, he is my best friend. He gave me a look of curiosity. In return, I offered a small smile. He started blaying with my blue hair. And yes it is natural, dang it! "I'm sorry for hiding all of this from you. I just have to follow our orders." "Our? There is more of you?" "Yeah, but there is only one of you." "SAo.. Just what am I supposed to be doing?" "Er, the Ace will have to explain that." I had stumbled across Alexander talking to a boy named Jagger about someone called, 'the Ace' and forced him to tell me who he, she, or it was. Now that I think about it, I remember him describing her as the head of his 'group'. The entire 'group'. Now that I am finding out about this. The group thing is made up of a bunch of mythical creatures that are actually real. Suddenly, I could feel myself begin to sway as I tried to process the new information. Black dots had begun to cloud my vision. My head was acheing and I couldn't keep my eyes open to save my life. All I could feel was Alexander's grip on my fore arms when I had suddenly lost consciousness. My entire body was hurting, What the hell was happening to me! I could feel my body fall against Alexander's strong body. I was aching and in pain. What was going on? © 2013 Luna KusanFeatured Review
