Things I can't change

There are some things I just cannot change
There are some thing I don't want to change
My personality Will never change
No matter who rash I am
No matter if I go in head first or think about it
No matter what I do that is me
I am Independent
You and me though
There are some things that I can change
And that is one of them
You think I need you
You, my old friend, were terrible mistaken
That was your first mistake
I may not be able to change who I am
I may not want to change the way I am
But you and me
Is the first thing I am changing
So, yes, there are some thing I just can't change
but you and me aren't one of them
I don't need you
So this is me saying
I'm changing things between you and me
I can't change a lot of thing
But I can and will change us

Brilliant write. I have been going through a rough period of letting go of a past relationship and someone that did not respect me, and I know now that I am strong with or without a man next to me.
