The Wrong CrossA Story by Elysa Kristen Lavelle
It
was just another usual Sunday and everything happened as usual. I went to
church and sat down with my best pal, Matthew. After P&W (Praise and
Worship), we sat down and started to listen to sermon.
While listening, I noticed the cross in front of the church started to turn 180 degrees around! I thought I was crazy and it was just my imagination so I didn't really care much. But then the Raven started to talk junk about how we should stop following Jesus Christ and start following Satan and everyone agreed! Again, I thought it was just y imagination as I couldn't sleep well for quite a few days now. "Geez... Is it just me or has the Raven lost his mind? Why follow Satan? And what's with the cross turning upside down? This is getting creepy..." Matthew whispered to me. "It's not just you... Why are those people following them? Are they nuts? What's happening?" I whispered back to him. We whispered to each other as soft as possible but someone heard it. She turned to her back as we were sitting behind her. She turned and said, "What are you guys talking about? Satan is good!" She said to us. I started to go crazy from all of that. How could they? And how did the church turn into an AntiChrist? Matthew grabbed my hand and pulled me away. We ran out of the church as soon as possible as the both of us couldn't stand it in there. What was going on? Is was that even real? We ran out and and rested for a while. But not long after, people started coming out of the church. "What are you guys doing here? You should be inside we're about to start praising Satan!" One of them said And so Matthew and I ran away as far as possible from that church. We didn't know where we were running but we saw no end to the road. Suddenly, everything turned red-ish and soon, it started to get foggy. A bit TOO foggy... We couldn't see clearly what was in front of us so we slowed down until we finally stopped. "Why are you two running away? Come and join me my child. I am now your ruler. Worship me!" A voice spoke to us. I was so scared that I fainted... A few minutes later, I heard a voice calling out to me. "El! El! Wake up! It's time to go to church! You're going to be late! You're on duty today! Wake up! You're gonna be late!" I opened my eyes. It was only my sister! I was just dreaming... I was so relieved. I got up and got ready and went to church. © 2014 Elysa Kristen LavelleAuthor's Note
