Hate Is An UnderstatementA Poem by Nikki RichardsonBroken isn't even a good word for what happened to cause this poem to be written.I've been thinking in my head About all the stuff you said. I don't understand how you read into that. I cared for you! I was there for you! I needed you! How could you? You were Everything! I thought we had something, But I guess it meant nothing! To you! I use to melt when you looked at me that way, And I can remember that day. But now I pray, Asking god why he sent you my way. Now it's been two years Since I wasted all those tears. As I walk down the street I meet my worst fears. You've come back and so have the tears. I cared for you! I was there for you! I needed you! How could you? You were Everything! I thought we had something, But I guess it meant nothing! To you! My heart is broken. All because of your token. From this nightmare can't I be awaken. How could you lie to my trusting heart? My heart can't take any more, And I'm tired
of waging this war. I will put you behind me forever more! © 2011 Nikki RichardsonAuthor's Note
