The Eyes of humanity

The Eyes of humanity

A Poem by Luke Ritta

The eyes of humanity

I gaze into the eyes of humanity and see an emerald coloured

                      Flame flicker in the dark.

Should we walk forward?

           Should we walk backward?

Should we live life as we choose?

I gaze into the eyes of humanity and watch the souls of

Mankind dance in a silver haze.

     Should we love each other?

                 Should we hate each other?

I gaze into the eyes of humanity and it gazes

                                  Back at me.

I'm not really sure how it makes me fill besides making me wonder about the answers to the questions. It makes me want to answer them. And by the end I like how you put that you gaze into the eyes of humanity and it gazes back at me. The flow is nice.

This is one of my favorite of yours, I really enjoy how you made the lines flow as if they were a flame. It leaves me here pondering, wishing I could answer those mystifying questions. Wonderful work.

The way you're questioning humanity is very clever... You're not questioning its exsistance you're questioning what todo with its exsistance, very clever

Great poem! I love how you present the questions that plague all of us, and once again you show a great knack for using visual presentation to emphasize your words. Also, I love how you tagged it as "?" The use of questions almost make my brain hurt, but in a good way, in that it really makes me think about humanity and life.

You had a strong voice in this poem. Strong, as in the way the wind is strong. The questions you ask speak to us, but slowly. It took a moment for me to decide how I felt about your work, but I think I like it! Great job.
